St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church

Established in Las Vegas 55 years ago, St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox church moved from its original Downtown Las Vegas location to its present west side home in 1992. The architect designed the building as a Byzantine-style cathedral beacon in the desert with intricate artwork, including overhead murals of John the Baptist surrounded by angels. The sanctuary is similar to the one in the original church while outside the building, the grounds are landscaped to continue the intended feeling of serenity.
