Charleston Campus
A two-year college in Clark County, the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is the largest public institution of higher learning in Nevada. Founded as Clark County Community College in 1971, the school became the College of Southern Nevada in 1991. Today, CSN has three main campuses in the Las Vegas Valley: Charleston Campus, Cheyenne Campus and Henderson Campus as well as a campus in Pahrump. CSN also has centers located in Moapa Valley, Summerlin and Mesquite as well as on the Nellis Air Force Base. CHARLESTON CAMPUS The Charleston Campus of the College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is an 80-acre campus about 15 minutes west of Downtown Las Vegas. Housing the college president and upper administration, the Charleston Campus first opened in 1988 and is home to many CSN-community partnership ventures. The campus operates an on-site dental clinic with services provided by students, college faculty and staff and local dentists. Located directly across the parking lot from college buildings, the Clark County Library District’s West Charleston Branch offers CSN’s Health Sciences students and faculty full use of its specialized medical library. The Charleston Campus also is home to KNPR (FM 88.9), the Nevada Public Radio station, and the Mojave Mental Health Counseling Services.
