Touro University Nevada (TUN)

Located in Henderson, Touro University Nevada (TUN) is a private institution of higher and professional education. TUN is a branch campus of Touro University California in Mare Island, California. The campus was established in Nevada to help address critical needs in health care and education as well as become a resource for community service. The university opened in 2004 with 78 medical students, and today is home to more than 1,500 students studying a range of degree programs in allied health sciences and education and osteopathic medicine. Many of TUN’s programs are the first of their kind in Nevada. The TUN campus also has a full-service patient health clinic, staffed by practicing faculty members, and a multidisciplinary Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities. In addition to serving the community, both facilities serve as onsite learning laboratories for students across the disciplines.
